During the 2-year fellowship program in the Molecular and Cellular Sciences soluble biomarker group, you will be trained in and have access to state-of-the-art biomarker technologies and learn the basic principles of Biomarker Context of Use and fit for purpose Biomarker validation. You will have the chance to develop and implement innovative biomarker solutions to address key scientific and clinical questions, such as target engagement, proof of mechanism, biology, safety, and efficacy understanding.
You will collaborate with global cross-functional biomarker matrix teams to execute fit-for-purpose biomarker plans, implement internal and external biomarker activities, deliver high quality data and enable impact in early and late clinical development phases.
Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Gain familiarity with innovative biomarker technologies used in clinical research.
2. Cross training on a variety of biomarker technologies, such as Ligand Binding Assay (ELISA, MSD, SIMOA, ELLA, Olink, NULISA) or Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry or other state of the art technologies (genetic, genomic, flow cytometry).
3. Drive the identification, development, validation and application of new biomarker modalities (e,g, extracellular vesicles) and innovative technologies (e.g, spatial/single cell proteomics) to overcome existing limitations.
4. Execute biomarker plan and successfully implement biomarker activities (internally and/or at external vendors) to support clinical studies.
5. Generate and interpret data to enable proof of mechanism, dose selection & proof of biology across early clinical programs and present results at internal meetings.
6. Ensuring quality and timely delivery of data generated through outsourced activities.
7. Contributing to support protocols and writing quality reports and laboratory manuals.
